About Me:

Without even knowing it I have really been in this wonderful travel industry all my life! We travelled extensively as children, teenagers and now of course as an adult.

My love and interest as a young adult began during my year as an International Exchange Student to Thailand. I speak, read and write Thai semi fluently and have a special love for this amazing country.I then ventured off as a backpacker at the age of 22. I was to be gone for a year. Oops, 10 years later and dozens of countries visited, I returned! This explains why I love the industry I work in!

I have been selling travel in various capacities for around 20 years. My experience ranges from living in South Africa for 10 years and Wholesaling & Tour Leading for a company selling the Indian Ocean Islands (Comoros and Mauritius) and Bahamas, incorporating Tour Leading for groups to these destinations. Whilst living in Johannesburg I studied part time (whilst working) to graduate with a Diploma in Travel & Tourism plus a Certificate in Travel Agency Competence. With this Diploma in hand, so continues my journey and love for what I do.

I also worked for Qantas in Johannesburg, South Africa, servicing all Travel Agents & Consumers whilst travelling around the country to educate about Australia & Qantas. This role also included taking consumers and travel agents to Australia on educational trips as their Tour Leader.

Within Australia my employment has ranged from Inbound Conferencing. I acted as their conference sales person and Tour Leader. I have also worked for Hotels promoting and selling space for weddings, conference, local meetings and corporate accommodation. I also worked for another big airline here in Australia selling Malaysia as a holiday destination as well as airfares to the rest of the world. I actually took a break from travel for a while by working in the Fitness Industry selling fitness of course! I started up their Corporate Fitness department for them......BUT missed travel too much so I came back after a year or so. I actually fell into the Retail side of this industry by pure chance and how fabulous a chance this has been. I know I will be here for a very long time.

Whatever job I have taken on it has always involved sales and customer service. Even as a youngster doing “pocket money” jobs....I was always servicing customers. It is something I was born to do!

I have visited many parts of this beautiful world and they include: United Kingdom, Europe, South Africa, Australia, Malaysia, Thailand, Fiji, America, Comoros Island - Indian Ocean Islands. I have travelled by plane, boat, bicycle, by foot, ferry, car, horse cart, truck and by horse. I have jumped off buildings & statues, I have snow and water skied, I have hitch hiked, I have stayed with local families, I have eaten many different foods, I have stayed in youth hostels, caravans, hotels, on beaches under the stars, I have travelled. Isn’t life wonderful!
